I definitely would never use paid/time bound links. A friend of mine did and when his site started to get highly ranked the SEO firm he was using started raising their prices. they were virtually holding him to ransom. I try not to get links from pages with too many outgoing links. The trouble is after you link is up you have no real control on links added after yours it put up. Agree with lots of this.
