Web Forwarding using the '302 Redirect'
If you have web space (possibly with your host) or want to temporarily redirect a domain name to another location then the proper way to do this is to use a 302 redirect (or Unmasked / Naked Web Forwarding).
This type of forwarding should be used when you do not want to keep your domain name in the browser address bar, when you intend at a future time to fully host your domain name or in situation where your free web host or web hosting provider does not allow Masked forwarding to your long URL. You may also have read about the '301 Redirect' which is a 'permenantly moved' redirect and is considered search engine friendly when used to indicate a new page name or location to an already indexed page.
The Unmasked, Naked or 302 Redirect feature is provided at no additional cost with all domain names. For more assistance visit the Domain Help Sheet. If you have problems setting up your forwarding contact our Helpdesk.
