How do I build a free website for my domain?

Every domain name supplied by UK-Cheapest is provided with our free homepage builder tool. This tool is usable for all domain names that are parked and allows you to build up to a 3 page website using our templates.

Your domain name is parked if your nameservers are set to ns.microlite1.com and ns2.microlite1.com. If they are set to anything else, then your domain name is not parked and the homepage builder is inactive.

You can check which nameservers are applied to your domain name by viewing the WHOIS record for your domain name.

You can park your domain by logging into the Domain Control Panel and setting your domain nameservers to the microlite1 nameservers.


Create your free parked domain website

The Homepage builder is very easy to use, your free website will be online within minutes!

  1. Login to your domain name control panel
  2. On the Features menu on the right, click on "Homepage Builder"
  3. Change "Homepage Builder" drop down box to "Active" from "Disabled"
  4. Select your desired homepage layout
  5. Enter the Main Title for your web site, eg. "Widgets and Gadgets Limited"
  6. Enter the Sub Title for your web site, eg. "Established since 1999"
  7. Enter your contact email address, eg. "info@widgetsandgadgets.co.uk"
  8. Enter your Homepage header, eg. "Welcome to our website!"
  9. Enter your Homepage text, eg. "This website is all about us!"
  10. Select if you want an "About Us" page from the drop down box.
  11. Enter the information you want on the "About Us" page if necessary
  12. Select if you want a "Contact Us" page from the drop down box.
  13. Enter the information you want on the "Contact Us" page if necessary
  14. Press the "Save and Publish" button
  15. Your site is now online!

If you no longer require your Homepage simply "Disable" it. You can switch it back on at anytime.
