Once your domain name has registered with us, you can configure .me.com to host your domain and begin to use iWeb single-click website publishing.
You can use 302 Frame Forwarding to your MobileMe account however the best method is to modify your domain WWW CNAME to connect directly as this this method (described below) gives you a better website performance.
Using the direct connect method, we need to login to your Domain Control Panel, remove the existing WWW A record and add a new WWW CNAME record, then simply await for DNS propagation to complete.
We make it very easy to connect your domain name to Apple's web services. Right, let's do it, don't worry - it's very easy!
Step 1 - Configure your MobileMe Account
You need to configure your MobileMe account to use your new domain name before we make the CNAME change.
If you get stuck, follow the instructions posted on Apple's website: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1107
Great! Now we can setup your domain name DNS to complete the process.
Step 2 - Connect your WWW CNAME to MobileMe.com
1) www A 18.104.22.168
Great! Now add a new DNS CNAME record:
1) www CNAME web.me.com
Once done, your domain name DNS should look as follows:
That's all there is to it! Allow up to 72 hours for your DNS to fully propagate.
Step 3 - Connect your domain without WWW to MobileMe.com
By default, Apple only recommend you to connect the WWW version of your domain name, for example: http://www.yourdomain.co.uk, to your MobileMe account. In our experience, we find many people will type your domain name into their browser without the www, eg: http://yourdomain.co.uk.
In order to configure your domain without the www, go to Connect to MobileMe without WWW Prefix FAQ entry.
