Parked or hosted
What is the difference between a parked and hosted domain name?
So you're unclear about the differences between a parked and hosted domain - not to worry many of us are in the same boat.
A parked domain is a domain that is pointing at our parking server (the name servers would be set to ns.microlite1.com and ns2.microlite1.com), this activates all of the features in the Domain Control Panel.
A hosted domain has its name servers pointing at a hosting provider - this links the domain name to a hosting account and it's email facilities. The features in the Domain Control Panel that are only available for parked domain names will be disabled when the domain name is hosted. |
