Transferring Your Domains from GoDaddy
Transfer your domain names from GoDaddy to UK-Cheapest.co.uk and get all the advantages of our Domain Name Control panel including Free nameserver changes, email forwarding, web forwarding and Homepage builder!
Transferring to UK-Cheapest is FREE!
There is no transfer fee for .UK domain names however there is a 1 year renewal fee for all other domains (.com, .net, .org etc) of £8.97. This transfer cost extends your domain name registration by 1 year and so is not an administrative fee!
For non .UK domains eg. COM, NET, ORG
Login to your GoDaddy Control Panel at: http://mya.godaddy.com/
1) Click the "Manage Domains" link. This will open the domain control centre
2) Click on the domain name that you want to transfer
3) Change the lock on the domain by clicking "Change"
4) Change the lock to "Unlock" and click the "OK" button
5) You now need to get your Auth Code for the domain
6) Click the "Send By Email" link. This will send the Auth Code to the admin contact for the domain name
7) OpenSRS/TuCows (our domain registrar) will then email you with further instructions on using your Auth Code to transfer your domain to UKC, so please ensure you check your mail regularly
