AceFTP Configuration

How to configure AceFTP for your Web Hosting account

AceFTP is a Freeware package that can be downloaded from http://freeware.aceftp.com/

Once you have downloaded, installed and opened AceFTP you will see a screen like the one below.

Now select File and Connect and you will be presented with a new window as per the image below.

Select New Site Profile (highlighted above) and the screen below will appear.

Now enter the following information as per provided to your via your Hosting Setup Complete email.

Descriptive Name for your Site: This is for your own benefit only, and is particularly useful if you will be uploading to more than one website.

Server: Iniatially you should use the server address that you were provided in your Hosting Settings email which will be in the format server.microliteX.com. Once your domain has completed registration (usually 48 hours) then you should change this to ftp.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com as appropriate!)

User ID: This is your adminXXXX@yourdomain.com username as we provided to you. (replace xxxx as appropriate) (replace YYYY with your domain name).

Password: This is as we provided to you in your Hosting email.

No other details need changing here, now click Next.

The window will now change as below.

Complete these fields as follows.

Enter local folder: This is the location on your own computer that your website resides at, if you do not know your path by memory then click the small yellow folder icon at the end of this field and browse to the relevant location on your hard drive.

Enter host folder: This is as per our Hosting Email and should be entered as /var/www/html/ (this is important otherwise your website will upload into the wrong location!)

Now click Finish.

Your website FTP is now configured. You can now upload/download
