Manage this from the domain&#8217;s tools.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Plesk mail forwarding<\/h3><p>Your domain has UKC shared hosting and mail is handled on an assigned server such as ukc10.uk. Manage addresses in Plesk.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Custom Domain Email mailbox<\/h3><p>A paid mailbox on the parking service can receive mail directly through webmail.ukc.uk or an email application. Its mailbox settings are separate from simple forwarding.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Third-party email<\/h3><p>If MX records point to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or another provider, manage forwarding there instead of UKC parking or Plesk.<\/p><\/article><\/div>\n  <h2 id=\"parking\">How do you create a parked-domain email forwarder?<\/h2>\n  <ol class=\"ukc-organic-steps two\"><li><span>1<\/span><div><strong>Open My Domains<\/strong><p>Sign in to the UKC Client Area, choose the domain and open its Domain Tools.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>2<\/span><div><strong>Open Email Forwarding<\/strong><p>Choose the forwarding section and enter the address you want before the @ symbol.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>3<\/span><div><strong>Add the destination inbox<\/strong><p>Enter an address you already use and check the spelling carefully.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>4<\/span><div><strong>Save and test<\/strong><p>Send from a different email service and allow time for a newly changed DNS or forwarding configuration.<\/p><\/div><\/li><\/ol>\n  <aside class=\"ukc-organic-note\"><strong>The domain must use the UKC parking service for these tools to control its mail.<\/strong> If another provider&#8217;s nameservers or MX records are authoritative, configure forwarding with that provider.<\/aside>\n  <h2 id=\"plesk\">How do you create a forwarder in Plesk?<\/h2>\n  <ol class=\"ukc-organic-steps two\"><li><span>1<\/span><div><strong>Open Plesk<\/strong><p>Use the login link in the hosting service or connect to your assigned UKC server.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>2<\/span><div><strong>Choose Mail<\/strong><p>Open the mail section for the correct domain and select the email address to edit, or create the address first.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>3<\/span><div><strong>Enable forwarding<\/strong><p>Open the Forwarding settings, switch forwarding on and enter the destination address or addresses.<\/p><\/div><\/li><li><span>4<\/span><div><strong>Decide whether to keep a copy<\/strong><p>If the address also has a mailbox, review whether messages should remain there as well as being forwarded.<\/p><\/div><\/li><\/ol>\n  <h2 id=\"testing\">How should you test the forwarder?<\/h2>\n  <div class=\"ukc-organic-grid two\"><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Send from outside<\/h3><p>Use a separate Gmail, Outlook or other account. Sending from the destination inbox can hide routing problems.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Check spam and delays<\/h3><p>Look in junk folders and allow for normal delivery time. Repeated test messages can themselves look suspicious.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Check the reply address<\/h3><p>A forwarded message normally keeps the original sender. Configure a separate mailbox or send-as identity if replies must come from your domain.<\/p><\/article><article class=\"ukc-organic-card\"><h3>Check authentication<\/h3><p>Forwarding can interact with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Ask support if one destination consistently rejects otherwise valid mail.<\/p><\/article><\/div>\n  <h2 id=\"limits\">When should you use a mailbox instead?<\/h2><p>Choose a hosted mailbox when you need to store messages, send reliably from the domain, synchronise folders across devices or use webmail. A forwarder is useful for receiving at a memorable address, but it is not a complete two-way email account.<\/p>\n  <h2>Email forwarding questions<\/h2><div class=\"ukc-organic-faq\"><details open><summary>Can I reply from the forwarded address?<\/summary><p>Not automatically. The destination inbox may need a supported send-as configuration, or you can use a hosted mailbox at the domain.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>Does forwarding keep a copy?<\/summary><p>Parked-domain forwarding sends the message onward without providing a mailbox. In Plesk, copy retention depends on the mailbox and forwarding configuration.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>Why is my forwarder not working?<\/summary><p>Check the destination spelling, MX records, authoritative nameservers and spam folder. Then test from an unrelated external address.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>Can I forward to several people?<\/summary><p>Plesk supports forwarding configurations for hosting mail.
