Domain registration rules

A domain name can contain alphabetic characters, numbers and hyphens. Domain names are case insensitive so domain.co.uk is the same as DOMain.co.UK.

The following are the main criteria to the characteristics of a valid domain name

• Alphabetic characters are accepted (e.g: domainregistration.co.uk).
• Numbers are accepted (e.g: 123456.co.uk).
• Combination of alphabets and numbers (e.g.: domainregistration123.co.uk).
• Only non alphanumeric character that is accepted is hyphen (-) (e.g: domain-registratione.co.uk).
• Maximum length of domain name can not be more than 64 characters long
• A valid domain extension (e.g: .co.uk, .org.uk, .com, .net, .org )

Any domains names that do not follow the above rules cannot be accepted for domain registration.
