Bulk domain search
Check a prepared list of UK domain ideas in one search
UKC Bulk Domain Search checks up to 25 business names, project ideas or complete UK domains together. Names without an extension are checked as both .co.uk and .uk, helping you compare alternatives and take the names you want to registration in one basket.
When is bulk domain search useful?
Bulk search is designed for someone who already has several possible names to compare. It removes the need to submit the same search form repeatedly, while keeping each registration decision separate.
Choosing a business name
Compare a shortlist of trading names before deciding which one is clearest, easiest to remember and available as a UK domain.
Protecting an established name
Check the .co.uk and .uk versions together. Registering both can be useful when the name is important and the second domain will be redirected to your main website.
Planning several projects
Check names for campaigns, products, events or future websites in one organised list, then select only the domains with a genuine purpose.
Working for clients
Agencies and advisers can compare an approved list efficiently before showing the available choices to a client. Register each domain to the correct legal holder.
How do you search several domains at once?
- 1Prepare a useful shortlist
Write one business name, project idea or complete .co.uk or .uk domain on each line. Remove duplicates and names you would not genuinely use.
- 2Paste up to 25 ideas
Open UKC Bulk Domain Search and paste the list into the search box. A name without an extension will be checked as both .co.uk and .uk.
- 3Run the availability check
The page checks the current registry status and groups the results as available or unavailable. You can filter the list to focus on names that can currently be registered.
- 4Compare the available choices
Consider spelling, length, audience and whether both UK extensions have a useful role. Availability alone does not make a name suitable.
- 5Add the names you want
Select individual domains or all available results. The selected-domain basket stays visible while you review the list.
- 6Continue to registration
Review the registration term, price, VAT and registrant details in the billing journey. Availability is confirmed again before the order is completed.
How does UKC interpret the list?
The bulk tool is focused on UK domain choices. You can enter an idea without an extension or specify the exact .co.uk or .uk domain you want checked.
| What you enter | What UKC checks |
|---|---|
| yourbusiness | yourbusiness.co.uk and yourbusiness.uk |
| yourbusiness.co.uk | The exact .co.uk domain |
| yourbusiness.uk | The exact .uk domain |
| Several lines | Each unique line, up to the 25-idea limit |
How should you choose between the results?
Prefer clarity over cleverness
Choose a name people can hear, spell and type without a long explanation. Avoid unnecessary punctuation, ambiguous words and difficult spellings.
Match the intended audience
A .co.uk domain is familiar for UK businesses. The shorter .uk can also work well for a UK-focused organisation, campaign or project.
Check names beyond availability
Search the web, Companies House and relevant trade mark records. A domain being available does not automatically give permission to use a protected name.
Give every selected domain a purpose
Use a domain for a website, forward it to another service, create a single-page site or protect a name by redirecting it to the primary address.
If you need to compare extensions beyond .co.uk and .uk, use the standard domain search. For registration and renewal pricing, read the domain charges guide.
Bulk domain search questions
Does bulk search register the domains automatically?
No. It checks availability and lets you select the names you want. Registration begins only when you continue to the billing journey and complete the order.
How many ideas can I check at once?
You can paste up to 25 ideas. Names without an extension produce both a .co.uk and a .uk check, so the results list may contain more domains than the number of lines entered.
Can I search .com and other extensions in bulk?
The bulk tool is currently focused on .co.uk and .uk domains. Use the standard domain search when you want .com, .net or other international and specialist extensions.
Should I register both .co.uk and .uk?
It can be sensible when both versions protect an important business or project name. Choose one primary address and redirect the other so visitors reach the same destination.
Why can availability change after a search?
A search reports the registry status at that moment but does not reserve the domain. Another registration can occur before checkout, which is why availability is checked again.
Can I manage several registered domains in one account?
Yes. Your UKC Client Area lists registered domains together and provides access to renewal settings, DNS, forwarding and the included single-page builder.
