How to Build a Website with Sitejet in Plesk

Sitejet on UKC hosting

Build and publish a multi-page website from Plesk with Sitejet

Sitejet Website Builder is included with every UKC shared web hosting plan. Choose a template, edit pages visually and publish to your hosting space without writing code. Back up an existing site before publishing because Sitejet replaces the files in the domain’s document root.

How do you open Sitejet in Plesk?

  1. 1
    Open your hosting service

Sign in to the UKC Client Area and use the Plesk login for the correct shared-hosting account.

  2. 2
    Open Websites and Domains

Choose the domain you want to build. Add it to the subscription first if it is not already present.

  3. 3
    Choose Sitejet Builder

Use the Get Started or website-creation option for the domain and select Sitejet.

  4. 4
    Choose a template

Select a suitable layout, then replace its example content with your own business information.

What can you do in Sitejet?

Create multiple pages

Build a structured site with service, about, contact and other pages rather than one parked-domain page.

Edit visually

Change text, images, spacing, colours and sections in the browser and preview responsive layouts.

Use consistent settings

Set common fonts, colours and elements so the whole website feels connected.

Manage search basics

Use descriptive page names, titles and content. Builder tools help presentation, but cannot guarantee rankings.

What should you check before publishing?

Back up the current website

Plesk warns that publishing Sitejet removes existing document-root files and replaces them with Sitejet files.

Point the domain correctly

The domain should resolve to the hosting server before publication and normal public testing.

Check every customer route

Test navigation, telephone and email links, forms, policy pages and mobile layouts.

Enable HTTPS

Issue a free Let’s Encrypt certificate in Plesk and confirm the site loads securely.

Sitejet or the Domain Website Builder?

Domain Website Builder

Included with every parked domain. It creates an AI-assisted single page with unlimited edits and an advanced HTML editor.

Sitejet Website Builder

Included with every shared-hosting plan. It supports a fuller multi-page website and publishes into hosting.

Legacy Presence Builder

Some customers still use it, but Sitejet is the current and more capable option for new shared-hosting sites.

WordPress and other apps

Plesk also includes WordPress Toolkit and one-click applications when a CMS is a better fit.

See the official Plesk Sitejet documentation for current publishing behaviour.

Sitejet questions

Is Sitejet included with my hosting?

Yes. UKC includes Sitejet with every shared web hosting plan.

Can it edit my existing WordPress site?

No. Sitejet is separate. Publishing can replace document-root files, so it is not an editor for WordPress.

Does Sitejet guarantee SEO rankings?

No builder can. Use clear structure, useful original content, good titles, HTTPS and a fast mobile-friendly result.

Is online-store functionality included?

Do not assume a separate Sitejet Commerce subscription is included. Check current Plesk options or ask UKC.
