Choose with confidence
Choose .co.uk when customers mainly find, contact or buy from you in the UK. It is a natural choice for a tradesperson, consultancy or independent retailer whose domain should match the name on their van, shopfront or business card.
Both belong to the UK domain family, but they are separate registrations. .uk makes the address shorter; .co.uk gives it a familiar business shape. Say both versions aloud, then choose the one you would most comfortably give to a customer.
Try your trading name first. If it is unavailable, a relevant service or location can help distinguish the address. Keep it easy to spell, and check that a similar name is not already being used by another business. You can compare other endings in the same search.
