How to Set Up Email Forwarding on a Parked Domain

Parked-domain email forwarding

Create an address at your domain and forward its messages to an inbox you already use

Email forwarding is included with every UKC domain while it uses the UKC parking service. A forwarding address redirects incoming messages but does not store them and is not a mailbox you can configure in Outlook or a phone.

How do I add an email forwarding address?

  1. 1
    Open My Domains

Sign in to the UKC Client Area, select the domain and open its current Domain Tools.

  2. 2
    Check Parking Status

The domain must use UKC parking nameservers for the parking server to receive and forward its email.

  3. 3
    Open Email Forwarding

Enter the local part you want, such as hello, and the complete existing destination mailbox.

  4. 4
    Save and test

Send a new message from a different email service. Check the destination inbox and its junk folder.

Why has a forwarded message not arrived?

Parking status changed

If another provider’s nameservers are authoritative, UKC parking tools cannot control mail delivery for the domain.

The destination rejected it

Forwarded mail can still be filtered by the receiving service. Check junk, rules, storage limits and any rejection notice.

The source address is wrong

Confirm spelling before testing and send a completely new message rather than replying inside an old conversation.

DNS is still updating

Nameserver and mail-routing changes can remain cached. Avoid repeatedly changing settings while the first update is settling.

Forwarding questions

Which nameservers mean the domain is parked?

Current UKC parking uses ns.ukc.uk and ns2.ukc.uk. Older ns.microlite1.com and ns2.microlite1.com names are supported aliases and do not need changing solely because they look older.

Can I forward to Gmail or Microsoft mail?

You can enter an existing destination address, but the receiving provider still applies its own filtering, policies and storage limits.

Can Support test my private inbox?

No password is needed. Tell Support the forwarding address, destination provider, test time and any rejection message.

Use the right email service
