Find a UK domain. Check its DR. Bid before it drops.
UKDrops.com now brings domain discovery and backorder bidding together. Search expiring UK names, compare Ahrefs Domain Rating, follow the drop countdown and place a bid on an eligible domain from its detail page.
A practical starting point for your next UK domain
A short name, a useful keyword or a memorable brand can be hard to spot in a long droplist. UK Drops helps domain enthusiasts, website owners and developers turn that list into a shortlist, with search, filters and individual domain analysis.
Discovery and research are free to use, with no signup required. The directory covers .co.uk, .uk, .org.uk and .me.uk. Start with a word, choose an extension or explore names by length and type, including single words, UK places and brandable names.
Find names that fit
Combine keywords, extension, character length and name-type filters to focus on the sort of domain your project needs.
Explore short domainsKeep the timing in view
Sort by drop time or narrow the list by date. Detail pages show the scheduled drop and a countdown for upcoming names.

Ahrefs Domain Rating, usually shortened to DR, is shown alongside names in the directory and on domain detail pages where a rating is available. You can filter for DR 10+, 25+ or 50+, then sort by highest DR to compare the matching names.
Ahrefs defines DR as a measure of the relative strength of a website’s backlink profile on a 100-point scale. It provides another research signal alongside the name’s wording, length, extension and intended use. It is not a traffic estimate or a guarantee of search rankings, resale value or a successful catch.
Ahrefs DR
A metric for comparing backlink-profile strength. Use it to identify names worth investigating more closely. Missing ratings remain unknown.
UK Drops Score
A separate rules-based name score, broken down into name quality, commercial potential, memorability and scarcity. It helps compare the names themselves.
Keeping these two measures separate is useful: a name can be appealing for its wording without having a strong DR, while a domain with a high DR still needs to suit the project you have in mind.
You can now bid on dropping domains
UK Drops now offers backorder bidding on eligible upcoming domains. Open a name with bidding available and its Backorder panel shows the leading bid, or opening bid if there are none, together with the minimum next bid.
- 1Research the domain
Check its name, DR, scheduled drop and available information. Save it to your watchlist if you want to compare it with other choices.
- 2Open the Bid panel
Review the current bid and minimum next amount, then sign in with Google to access bidding.
- 3Submit your bid
Enter an amount within your available credit. The site holds that credit while the backorder is active.
The bidding flow explains that held credit is released in full if the service misses the catch. If the domain is caught for your winning bid, payment is due under the invoice arrangements shown by the service. A bid is a backorder request, so catching the domain is not guaranteed.
More ways to build and review a shortlist
The homepage’s live board shows names dropping next and names that have just reached their drop time, with DR filters to focus the view. The watchlist keeps saved names together on your device, while Trends and History provide charts and dated snapshots of the droplist.
Individual pages bring together name characteristics, drop status, the UK Drops Score and similar domains. Information that has not yet been collected, such as previous website or traffic data, is labelled accordingly. New to catching domains? The guide to UK domain drops explains the terminology.

UKDrops.com is hosted by UK-Cheapest.co.uk and is operated by UKC LABS LTD, the company behind UK-Cheapest.co.uk. Its combination of domain research and backorder bidding gives visitors a route from finding an interesting name to requesting a catch.
For anyone planning a website, it is also a useful example of organising a service around clear decisions: discover, compare, shortlist and act. Once you have a domain for your project, explore UKC web hosting for your next website.
Do I need an account to search domains or see DR?
No. Discovery and analysis are free to use without signing up. Sign-in is required to bid.
Can I bid on every listed name?
Use the Bid control on an eligible upcoming domain. A name appearing in a droplist does not mean it is available for an immediate registration or backorder.
Does a high DR guarantee a valuable domain?
No. DR compares backlink-profile strength. Assess the name and available history in relation to your own project.
