UKC email setup
Set up your UKC mailbox securely on any device
Start by choosing the correct server below, then open the guide for your phone or computer. When the app asks for a username, enter your full email address. The settings table is there when you need to copy the technical details.
Step 1: choose the correct server name
| Service | Incoming and outgoing server | Webmail |
|---|---|---|
| Custom Domain Email | webmail.ukc.uk | webmail.ukc.uk |
| Plesk-hosted mailbox | Your assigned server, such as ukc10.uk, ukc11.uk, ukc12.uk or ukc13.uk | The webmail address for your assigned server, such as webmail.ukc10.uk |
Step 2: copy these settings
| Service | Port | Security | Authentication |
|---|---|---|---|
| IMAP incoming | 993 | SSL/TLS | Full email address and mailbox password |
| SMTP outgoing | 587 | STARTTLS | Required, using the full email address and mailbox password |
| SMTP alternative | 465 | Implicit SSL/TLS | Required |
| POP alternative | 995 | SSL/TLS | Full email address and mailbox password |
Choose IMAP for normal use. It keeps the same messages and folders on your phone, computer and webmail. POP is mainly for downloading messages to one device.
Step 3: choose your phone or computer
If it does not work
Check the username
Use the complete email address, including the part after the @ symbol.
Check the outgoing-mail login
If the app asks whether the outgoing server requires authentication, choose Yes and use the same full email address and password.
Check the server name
Custom Domain Email uses webmail.ukc.uk. Shared hosting and Business Email Hosting use the server printed in the welcome message, such as ukc10.uk.
Try webmail
If webmail works, the mailbox and password are valid and the remaining issue is normally the app configuration.
