Connect a domain to Weebly
Use the IP address shown in your Weebly account, not an old IP copied from a guide
Weebly currently requires a paid site plan for a custom domain. Add the domain in Weebly first, copy the current Points To IP, then update the root and www records in the authoritative UKC DNS zone while preserving email records.
How do you connect the domain safely?
Follow the sequence and stop before any step that does not match the service shown in your UKC account.
- 1Prepare the Weebly site
In Weebly open Website and General Settings, choose the site address option, select a domain you own and enter the complete name.
- 2Copy Weebly’s current DNS values
Use the IP shown in the Points To field. Confirm whether Weebly asks for root and www and whether it flags an incompatible AAAA record.
- 3Edit the authoritative UKC DNS zone
If the domain uses UKC parked DNS, open DNS Manager. If hosted, edit DNS in Plesk. Change only the required web records.
- 4Publish and verify
Publish the Weebly site, wait for DNS caches, then test root, www, HTTPS and existing email.
What records need attention?
Follow the values shown inside the current Weebly account because platform endpoints can change.
Root domain
Point the @ or blank-name A record to the current Weebly IPv4 address shown in the account.
www hostname
Use the A record or CNAME approach shown by Weebly. Do not leave a conflicting record for www.
AAAA record
Weebly says an incompatible AAAA record can prevent SSL setup. Remove it only when its current instructions require that.
Email records
Preserve MX, SPF, DKIM and verification records unless the email provider explicitly supplies replacements.

Can a free Weebly site use my domain?
Weebly’s current guidance says a site must be upgraded to a paid plan to connect a custom domain.
Why is the old 199.34 address gone?
A fixed value can become obsolete. Use the IP currently displayed inside the Weebly site settings.
How long will DNS take?
Different caches refresh at different times. Weebly notes that some changes can take 24 to 48 hours, though many appear sooner.
Can UKC make the DNS change?
Support can help identify the UKC DNS route. Provide the exact Weebly values, but never send account passwords.
