UKC billing and card-payment guide
Stripe securely processes card payments offered through UKC billing
To pay UKC, sign in to the official Client Area, open the invoice and use the payment options shown there. Stripe is the external payment processor used for card payments. The methods available can vary by invoice, device, country and the current checkout configuration.
How do I pay a UKC invoice through Stripe?
- 1Sign in to the Client Area
Type billing.uk-cheapest.co.uk into your browser or use a trusted UKC link. Sign in to the account that owns the service.
- 2Open the unpaid invoice
Check the invoice number, service, amount, VAT and due date before starting payment.
- 3Choose an available method
Use the card or other payment choices currently displayed. Complete any bank authentication prompt without closing the page.
- 4Confirm the result
Wait for the billing screen to finish, then confirm that the invoice says Paid and that a UKC receipt or payment record appears.
Why might my bank ask me to approve the payment?
Online card payments can require an additional bank check, often called 3D Secure or Strong Customer Authentication. Your bank may ask you to approve the purchase in its app, enter a one-time code or complete another identity check. Stripe explains that this extra step helps confirm that the person paying is the cardholder.
Keep the payment page open
Complete the bank prompt and return to the checkout tab. Closing either screen too early can interrupt the result.
Use the bank’s genuine prompt
Check the amount and merchant information. Do not approve a payment you did not initiate.
Authentication can still fail
An expired code, blocked pop-up, interrupted app switch or bank decline can stop the payment from completing.
UKC cannot approve it for you
The card issuer controls its security decision. UKC can check the invoice, but only the bank can explain many declines.
What should I check when a Stripe payment fails?
| What you see | What to check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Card details rejected | Card number, expiry date, security code, name, billing postcode and address | Correct the details once, or use another available card |
| Authentication did not complete | Bank app or code prompt, blocked pop-ups, browser privacy settings and network connection | Return to the unpaid invoice and retry once from a current browser |
| Bank declined the payment | Available funds, online-payment controls, transaction limits and fraud alerts | Ask the card issuer or use another available payment method |
| Page stopped responding | Whether the invoice now says Paid, Unpaid or Payment Pending | Do not retry until the invoice status has been checked |
| Repeated attempts fail | Whether every attempt uses the same card and returns the same message | Stop repeated retries, contact the bank if appropriate, then ask UKC about the invoice |
Stripe notes that card issuers make the final approval decision and often return only a general decline. UKC cannot override that decision or see private bank-account reasons.
Why can I see a pending charge when the invoice is unpaid?
A bank can temporarily reserve funds while it decides or reverses an authorisation. A pending entry is not always a completed UKC payment. The important checks are the invoice status in the Client Area and whether the bank entry later settles or disappears.
Invoice says Paid
The payment has been recorded. Keep the invoice number and receipt for your records.
Invoice says Unpaid
The visible bank entry may only be a temporary authorisation. Avoid rapid repeat payments while it remains unclear.
Two entries appear
One may be a pending authorisation and the other a completed charge. Check whether both actually settle before reporting a duplicate.
Status remains unclear
Send UKC the invoice number, payment time, amount and the last four card digits only. Never send the full card number or security code.
How long does a card refund take?
Once an authorised refund is submitted, the bank controls when it appears. Stripe states that card refunds commonly take 5 to 10 business days. A quick reversal may make the original charge disappear rather than create a separate refund line. If nothing is visible after that period, ask UKC for the refund status and then ask the card issuer to trace it.
How do I keep a UKC payment safe?
Start from the Client Area
Open the invoice inside the official UKC billing account instead of trusting an unexpected payment link.
Check the address bar
Use HTTPS and confirm the UKC billing hostname before signing in or entering payment information.
Protect one-time codes
A bank authentication code is for the genuine bank prompt. Do not read it to a caller or paste it into a support ticket.
Report suspicious messages
Do not follow the link. Open UKC independently and ask support to verify the invoice or renewal request.
UKC Stripe payment questions
Does Stripe sell the UKC service?
No. UKC is the service provider and Stripe processes supported payments. UKC remains the contact for the invoice, service, cancellation or refund request.
Which cards and wallets can I use?
Use the methods displayed on the current UKC invoice payment screen. Availability can change by card, invoice, device, region and checkout configuration, so this guide does not promise a fixed list.
Why does my bank say the payment was declined?
The issuer may reject incorrect details, insufficient funds, transaction limits, suspected fraud or failed authentication. Check the error, then contact the card issuer when the details are correct.
Can UKC take my card number in a ticket?
No. Never place a full card number, security code or bank password in a ticket or email. Use the secure payment screen.
Where can I read Stripe’s customer guidance?
Stripe publishes a customer payment FAQ. UKC support remains the correct contact for a UKC invoice.
Pay from the official account
Open the invoice, check its details and complete payment securely
If payment fails or its status is unclear, do not send sensitive card data. Give UKC the invoice number and non-sensitive transaction details instead.
