The “software caused connection abort” errors can be quite safely ignored.

These messages come up when a user does not wait for a page to complete before either closing their browser window or simply clicking on another link before the page has finished loading or the bot moved to another page.

How do I turn off the pop up blocker?

To disable the Popup blocker in Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer and select the Tools option.
  2. In the window that displays, click on the Internet Options option.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab
  4. Uncheck Turn on Popup blocker
  5. Click on Ok to save your preferences
  6. Close the window

To turn off the Popup blocker in Firefox

  1. Open the Firefox menu and select the Tools option.
  2. In the window that displays, click on the Content option.
  3. Remove the checkmark from the Block pop-up windows option.
  4. Close the window

To turn off the Popup blocker in Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome Tools menu and select the Options option.
  2. In the window that displays, click on the Under the bonnet tab.
  3. Click on the Content Settings button
  4. Click on the Pop-ups tab
  5. Select Allow sites to show pop-ups then press Close
  6. Close the windows

How can a domain name show as available but later be registered to someone else?

The availability of a domain name is determined from the response given to a WHOIS record check to each domain registry. The results of this check are not guaranteed.

From our experience up to 1 in every 10000 non-UK domain checks can report a domain name as being available when in fact it is not. A check a moment later shows the domain correctly taken.

We have never had a problem with incorrect availability reporting for .UK domain names. The availability status for .UK domains historically is always correct.

Any order placed within our system that cannot be fulfilled for this reason will be cancelled and refunded in full.
